About Flashpoint Fire Duo
Flashpoint is made up of professional fire performers James Guiver and Suzy Pegler. We have been working on our show together for several years now and seperately for even longer. We have a passion for making breath taking visual images and exciting moments for audiences of all ages and backgrounds. We came to performing from very different backgrounds and have combined our decades of experience into a show that never ceases to amaze. We have performed across the globe at events ranging in size from intimate private shows to some of the world’s largest festivals and sporting events.
But enough of that, here’s who we are:
Suzy Pegler
Suzy Pegler is an international multi-skilled performing artist who has been honing her skills for the past 10 years. Starting her career as a professional dancer, Suzy fell in love with the circus world and combines her dancer technicality and choreography skills to all her shows.
Suzy is also a high-level aerialist that specialises in aerial hoop/aerial lyra and is one of the few performers in the UK that performs aerial chains. She has performed all over the world from the Royal Prince’s parade in Saudi Arabia to exclusive shows in the Maldives.
When she is not performing or rehearsing Suzy runs aerial hoop classes and runs online personal training programs. In her spare time Suzy enjoys sewing, playing video games, and long walks on the beach.
James Guiver
James Guiver has been performing since 2009, starting as a fire performer around the night club scene in Leeds. James expanded his repetoire to include juggling, acrobatics and physical theatre when he attended Circomedia circus school in 2012.
James is one half of the juggling duo Pass Go Juggling and a co-founder of physical theatre company Megabeast Productions.
James has performed extensively across the Middle East and Asia as well as at some of the UK’s largest events. In addition to performing James has lent his expertise to major T.V. productions as a fire safety consultant on fire stunds. This includes both The Crown and Becoming Elizabeth.
When he’s not performing James enjoys coding, reading, and gaming.
